Hi! We are a small team of people sharing a love for color, with IT background and experience in real and digital media.

Artistpigments.org is a free project which evolved from a personal blog and collection of swatches.

It became an increasingly interactive website, as it reached a size that made it interesting to be able to compare across brands and then mediums. With our pursuit to present colors with the highest possible accuracy online, it inevitably entered the realm of digital color and color science.

Besides our Artist materials database and Pigment database, we would like to make color more accessible by offering free Color tools to visualize color concepts and to explore color theory in practice.

In our case it means that it is not a source of income in any way.

"No ads, no affiliate links, no sponsored content" means that we would like to remain and keep our database neutral.

Although we don't offer sponsored brand presence, please feel free to contact us if you would like to provide data or samples for your brand to be represented in the database.

We appreciate every contribution which comes in the form of recommendations, data that would not be available for us otherwise, samples, your opinion and expertise you share with us.

There are parts of the website where you can find file download options (e.g. brand pages, your own collections, visualizing custom colors). You can also ask for sets of data in formats you need. Or iframe codes for inserting our contents into your own website.
